Need Your Help with Purchase of 1999 GLE

Hey guy/gals,

I need your expert input...My father-in-law wants to buy a 1999 Max GLE with just under 20k miles. It was on the lot for 23k, but they were willing to mark it down to 20k. It still has a warranty based on the low miles, and it seems to have a clear title. My questions are: Does this seem like a good price for a 99? Are there things we might want to look for that could change the asking price? If I need any other info please let me know.

Thanks,

Marc

From what I've seen around here (Hawaii) that seems kind of overpriced. Around here, a car like that would probably go for around 15-17 grand. I've seen a few 2001's going for about 20 thousand. This may be due to the fact that Nissan's aren't the most popular cars around here (everybody goes honda or toyota), but i'm not sure.
Good luck on your purchase.

That is overpriced (including warranty and low mileage). I would try and talk them down to the $15-$16k range.

$20k, are you kidding me!!!!!! That is way too pricy.
For $3k more you father can get a brand new Nissan Max. In So Cal. I have friends that just bought their Max 2k2 for $22k. Of course they had a hard time dealing with the dealers, but it's still your money. Why get ripped off???
Good luck to ya.

Ask them where their gun and mask are.
From a dealer, if it's clean, without checking KBB, 16K.
20K?

I paid 17k for my 97 GLE with 19k miles and that was over a year ago. Price is way too high.

With some heavy bargaining you can get a new 2K2 max with no options. Waste of money in my opinion...
