"Automatic" trunk lid
i hate when that happends .I always put that lock on in the trunk because i always use to get up with my trunk open because i guess the button got pressed when i put it in my pocket.
also i locked it so my trunk doesn't pop up and everbody see's my kickers in the trunk and rob me blindly

If you are setting it off because you bump the button, just take off the door panel and unhook the button.
I did this, and now my remote still works, but the button doesn't. Which is good, because if someone breaks into my car and tries to hit it to get to my stereo, it won't work.

I think you're supposed to have to hold the button down for a second for it to pop the trunk..not just press it like the lock/unlock buttons. That could be your problem..
