I ran a 14.09 @ 100.9 mph with a
2.4 60 foot time. I had no traction
problems. I apparently need to find
some lowend power. I might try putting the stock y-pipe back on.....

What happen to your low end. With that stall converter, you should make boost pretty quickly. I get 2.2 60' with no NOS and on 225/45/17!! What is your 1/8 mile time and speed? Just wondering. Good run though, get your low end back you should be set. My friend has a s/c VR6 witch has no low end. He gets 2.3 2.4 60' and runs low 14s at 100mph. Than he put a 20"shot" of NOS and some slicks, his 60' went down to 1.90-2.00. Not that you should go and get NOS or anything.(hehe). I can keep up with him on the street to about 50mph, even when I dont use the NOS. So I know the Nissan engine has a lot of torque, hope you can find it again. This is not to brag or flaunt, but just to try to help with the expierience I have been threw..

 

My converter isn't doing the job. It appears to be stalling out at 2300-2400. I'll need at least 3000. I'm looking into a level 10 converter. I hope to get down to 2.0 60 foot times w/ a higher stall. That should bring me into the 13.70's or better.

 

Nothing happened to his lowend, if he bolted on the stock Y pipe he would lose 20hp. The problem is the tall gearing of the stock tranny. For example I ran a 2.3 60ft time in my car with stock TC and 195/60-15's! If anything his car should have the stock torque till the boost kicks in. Besides your trapspeed shows that your car should do around 13.9-14.2. Now if you were doing 101-103 you should be hitting mid 13's with slicks. Really the VQ's need a 4.11 final gear to get going. Given the higher rev limiter vs the VG's and the same gearing with power coming in the highend. You can see why there "seems to be no lowend power". I can garantee you that if he had a 4.11 gear he would rip off consistant 13.8's at around 101-102. Also my Protorque TC stalls around 2500 depending on the car's temp. When its cool I can get a 2700rpm lauch if I flash stall it to 1700.
