Hey man, if you ask a question and someone gives you $hit for it, give them some $hit back.

The Greddy & the Stillen are LOUD. The Apexi' WS sounds close to stock. Basically, the shorter (lengthwise) the can section of the muffler, the louder it will be. What do you want to replace anyway? Just the muffler? Y-pipe? Everything?

Greddy is not that loud, neither is the stillen, but if you say the WS is quiet compared to those, it must sound stock, my tsudo dual dtm is f$ckin loud had to put a resonator back on it to quiet it down a little after the y-pipe

Greddy is loud, but not high pitched...more of a deep small V8 groan...I love it...well with the Stillen Y that is.

I have a PR-CAI and I'm planning on adding a Warpspeed SS y-pipe and Greddy Catback to my 98 as soon as I have the money. From what I've heard, this setup will be loud, but not ricey, more of a v8 rumble. If you want the same sound, go for the same setup. Other than that I cant offer any advice.

also exhaust alone wont give you a 5 - 20 hp gain.. it may be 1 - 2 hp by itself. if you really want gains get a Y-pipe first.

rumble's a$$!! i got the same setup (cattman intake-same as place racing) and it's SOOOO loud!! it sounds awesome, though!!

...and the power increase is unbelievable!

maximamoose, if you don't plan to add anything but the cat-back, the greddy will not be loud at all. i had it on my car for about a month before i got my intake tube and i could barely tell it was there. it was just slightly louder than stock. actually, if i had to describe it, i'd say it was stock volume with a performance growl to it.

hope that helps!!

Please tell us what you plan to replace. Then we can tell you what will sound loud, quiet, etc...

Refer to my first post. The Stillen and Greddy are loud. People will turn their heads when you come around the corner with them. Tell us what you want to replace, and we will tell you what to do.

I used to have just an Apexi N1, and that was quiet. Then I added a stillen y-pipe and that added a little bit more sound. It was still kinda quiet. Then I added the stillen's b-pipe and that just made my car LOUD as fock. Chris91SE can agree w/ me there on that one. I ended up selling my b-pipe to Redmaxpa007 and he has a stillen y, w/ a stillen muffler. So now he(redmaxpa007) has a stillen y, rt cat, stillen b, and stillen muffler and that car is loud. I now have a greddy and that's gotta be the best sounding exhaust for the max. The greddy does sounds like a v8

out of curiosity, do you have just the greddy exhaust, or do you have something else on it? also, does anyone know what exhaust was on the eclipse in The Fast and the Furious(the green one driven by Paul Walker)? that sounded pretty mean. thanks

I got greddy SP catback exhaust on my 97 infiniti, same as maxima. It sounds great, there are a few performance gains, but it makes the engine have a deeper sound, not 2 loud tho

by deeper do you mean like a truck, or more of a performance v8 deep?
