To All With H&R Setup..Look inside...

I recently got my 97 max and its in dying need of being lowered. I know the H&R setup with agx is the closest i can get to stock but this is the thing, i've heard the H&R's dont give the car a lowered look. Since the drop is only 1.5" front and 1.3" rear, is the car still going to look like a 4x4 or what? Can all of you who have H&R's please post some pics of ur cars here so i can see how it looks. Thanks in advance.

P.S. - dont tell me to use the search function! , already did and didnt find any good pics of max's with H&R setup.

I have H&Rs and my car definitely looks dropped. Not slammed, but much lower than stock, not even close to 4x4. I may be switching to Eibachs for the stiffer ride. H&Rs handle great and ride close to stock, but I want more performance and a harsher ride. Call me crazy...

CHECK SIG PIC

This is how H&R should look, but they dont unless they are cut one coil all around for a 100% even drop

2 finger gap all around couldnt be more perfect!

Get Intrax, I think they give you the best drop.

thanks

This picture was taken not TOO long after the car was dropped...it's a little bit lower now that it has settled. The drop is not huge, but it looks NICE now, no more 4x4.

The car is dark green, yes, Deezo has seen it in person more than once when he graced CT with his mighty presence! DEEZO POWER!

The wheels have a few nicks and scratches up close...and the paint is ruined...but you can't tell in indirect light. I love the color, and am hoping to get enough $ to get the exterior repainted.

as discussed in other threads: warrantee on aftermarket struts/shocks is generally only valid on a 1.5" drop or less. Also discussed, slamming the car does NOT increase performance.

I can't find it now, but Jeff K had a side by side pic of a stock maxima and his maxima with H&R's. There was a very noticable difference.

But looking at the car by itself, it doesn't look "dropped" but it does look better. When someone says dropped I think of those civics where the wheels are hiding inside the wheelwells. Each car has a different look, BMWs stock look like their lowered, but thats just how they come.

One of the great things about H&R springs are that they are progressive, which means they get stiffer the more you push on them. This allows for a good ride in normal driving and a stiffer ride/ response when you push them.

Got H&R's

Not slammed, those who know about the 4X4 stock height will definately
notice the drop with H&R's
