anyone drove/drive a new gen passat??

sorry this is off the topic but i had to write this down. i drove my sisters passat one day when i felt like testing its power. once i floored the gas i felt a little switch being clicked on at the end of the gas pedal and all of a suddent i see the car increasing speed without my foot on the gas i tried to brake but the damn brakes locked up!!! i didn't panic. my first reaction was to put my gear into neutral (auto) and once i put it to N it redlined for a second and went back to normal i could now press my brakes and slowed down. damn what the hells wrong with this car? can anyone help me? i don't want my sister to get hurt or something.

Take your sister's car in to the dealer and have it checked. If what you stated is true, there might be something wrong with the drive by wire system.
