I think I want to make a mesh grille for my 92 GXE, I have like a fake chrome grille right now, but I think a mesh grille might look better? What do you guys think? does it look good in person (for those of you who've seen them), is it worth it? b/c once I switch I don't think I can make it normal again

if it looks right...its not too bad...i saw a couple floating around my area but they were homemade (naturally) and looked horrid...if you don't like it you're gonna be stuck unless you have a spare grille so chose wisely

it all depends on how well you make it

i've seen some really crappy ones too, so if you just take your time and make it look nice it will turn out great.

not really a security issue with the mesh grille, at least i dont think so. the hood latch still has to be popped from inside the car to open the hood. theres really no way to open the hood without the latch. i've tried. and yes the wheels are stock. thankfully the finish has stayed in pretty good condition. and i just try to clean them often too so that helps.

the grille

I dpon't see how it would be a security issue either, You could get through the plastic grille bars just as easy as going through the mesh. I think mine looks pretty tight in person, and I am sure other people have done it better then me. I had to move a wire from my aftermarket foglights to the side because it went right down the middle and looked stupid. I think mine has been worth it, I really like how it looks!
