Best Way to put on an OEM Shift ****?

I put on a Momo "lookalike" **** on my STS 4 months ago(i wasn't about to spend <$60 on a ball of metal and leather). It stayed on good at first, but Now I have to retighten the screws every 2 days cuz the damn thing gets loose all the time. A friend of mine put masking tape around the shifter and hammered the shifter on his jeep. What methods have people used to get that damn **** to stay on right and tight?

loctite

If you have not tried it yet, put Loctite on the threads of the screws that keep coming loose. You can buy it at most car parts place.

...and if you really want to save some money & time, borrow some clear nail polish from your girlfriend/wife/sister/mom/"partner" - whichever - and paint it over the screw heads.
