WTB 95 or better maxima and need advice on price and insurance

Ok.. Lets start it off this way first.. Im a poor college student... Now that thats established you know where im going from here

Im going off to university this august and I currently have a 1990 Maxima GXE now that im leaving behind so my mother can have a spare car. She is gonna get me another car for school so I want a newer maxima.. This time I want a 1995 or better.. I want to keep the cost for the car as low as possible for her so does anybody know how much im looking at for a 95 or better max? I told her i'll try to keep it less than $5000.. What can I get for around that price? Do you guys have any suggestions of where to start looking online for used cars besides the forum here? I'll be ready to buy in june, near july but if I find a good deal now i'll jump on it.

Also, another question I have is, how much do you guys pay for insurance on your maxima's in the U.S.? Im 20 years old and will be 21 july 8th.. I'm currently in the Bahamas and insurance on mine is pretty cheap($600 a year) because its so old but I know that once I get a newer model its going to be significantly higher. Im moving to atlanta, georgia btw.

Another question is can I get insurance with my Bahamian drivers license or do I *have* to take the georgia driving test before I can get insurance? If so, what if I apply for an international drivers license here? It costs $50 bux and apparantly it allows you to drive anywhere in the world or something.. I dont think i'll have the time right off to take the driving test in georgia because of the hassle of moving and all.. Can I get insurance just on my bahamian drivers license(which i've had for 3 years with no problems) or the international drivers license?

Last question.. Do insurance companies in the states ***** about the title of the car? Say if I get a max with a rebuildable title, would they have a problem with that or do they charge extra?

Thanks in advance!

Less than 5000 bucks on a '95 or newer? Don't mean to burst your bubble, but if you find one, it will be a stripped-GXE with at least 100,000 miles, or one with more options with over 150,000 miles...and even then, that would be a good deal.

well

i dont really mind it being less than 100k miles or close to that but I do have a problem with it being more than 100k miles.. Once I have power everything and a/c thats all that matters to me.. Id love an SE but I can suffice with a GXE or whatever if I have to.
