Looking at Upgrading my 3rd Gen to a 5; similar reliability?

What should I be looking at when choosing between the 00, 01 & 02 model years? My 91 SE was pretty much a workhorse, and I'd like to get the same reliability from the new one. Leaning towards the SE again, as I'm definitely partial towards the stiffer suspension. Any input would be appreciated.

The 2K2's are fairly new so we don't know too much about their reliability just yet but it's a completely different beast next to the 2k-2k1. If you can afford it go with the 2k2, wish I could have waited

You 2K2 owners are so lucky!

My 2001 AE has had zero mechanical problems in 13 months and 38K miles. I had a few TSBs done (fuel filler and ECU reprogram), but neither of these were issues that would have left me stranded somewhere. I haven't had any of the warped rotor issues that many have dealt with.

The only major complaint I have is the paint chipping.

From a former 3rd Gen Owner....

I would say that my 2K2 is about the same in terms of reliability but everyone is correct in getting the TSBs dealt with including the Hood flutter, Fuel Filler Door, and Wind noise.
