spark plug coil-harness removal?

Okay, I got a cylinder misfire code.. so I went to check the plug (first time - car has only 54K). But I can't seem to get the wire harness off the plug coil.

All the instructions I've seen seem to breeze over this step, but I've spent the last half hour wrestling with it and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. The owner's manual just says to press down (squeeze?) and pull out. I feel pretty dumb, but has anyone else ever had this problem? Please help.. step by step instructions if at all possible... Thanks.

Push the bright green part in towards the direction of the arrow.

Yeah, my 99 is as you described Tony, but my 97 is like what's in the picture. I wonder when they switched over?

Hmmm... I guess yet another instance where 1999's are different.
