just went to autozone JUST to get a price on their ABS driveshafts for manual transmissions and they cost 80 bucks each after i give them mine....so 160 for the combination which isn't bad....but they have no more in their warehouse and he said their warehouse is like the same for all autozone's in like i guess all of new jersey? but i need to know of any other shops i can go to to get this, whether online or near home....i'm going to check around but wanted to know if any of u off hand knew.....

Please do yourself a favor and dont get rebuilt axles. Spend a little more and new ones from www.raxles.com

My AutoZone rebuilds only lasted 35000 miles.

New ones arent that expensive, I got my passenger side axle for $125 shipped.

When the CV joints are rebuilt, they are ground to make sure they are in spec dimensionally. This grinding wears away the original hardened surface in the joint. Without this hardened surface they are doomed to an early death.

If it makes you feel better mzmtg my friend replaced both of his axles with rebuilt Autozone units. They have a lifetime warranty, but I believe his new set is already clicking after less than 10-15k. I would spend the money and get Raxles just so that you don't have to deal with this problem again soon.

I agree, my remans are popping after ~ 25K, I told you meccanoble to go to raxles.com.

mzmtg, just wondering, www.thepartsbin.com, are their axles reman, or new? I'm guessing they're remans because they only cost ~ 85 each. Just wondering if you knew.
