Unbalanced Wheel and Wheel Locks

Funny,

I had a pull to the right on my car and some vibration at high speeds.

I took off my wheel locks and put on regular studs...symptoms are minimal but not as bad as before.

ANy thoughts?

K.

Are your wheel locks weight-matched to your lugnuts?

I've never heard of such a slight imbalance causing a noticable problem, though...

do you have hubcentric rings? if not then maybe when you took off your lock and put on the regular lugs the wheel became more centered on the hub? just my theory

Wheel balancing is done to the 1/4 ounce. Think about how much your balance will be off if your locking nuts are a few ounces heavier then your normal lug nuts. Even though they are twards the inside, it will still throw off your balancing.

I think I will try my other wheel locks that look similar to the factory ones. Thanks for the help guys.
