Parking tickets Can catch up with ya

I just received my 6th or 7th speeding ticket of the year. I don't pay them, cause i don't have enough money, i just let them show up on my dorm payment as miscellaneous payment, and my mom pays them. Well, i had a few of them due, and I had to park in a different zone for a few hours the other day that i didn't have a pass for, cause i lost my parking card, that lets me get in the garage. So....i go outside, and i had a $100 dollar ticket. Maybe i can get out of it, but that sucks.

well, anything that happens in our hall, that we get charged for is a misc. payment

so last semester, some punks from the third floor were drunk and punched through our window of our door. Its pretty hard to punch through, cause it is glass with wire criss crossed to make it safer. Well, our floor got charged for it. So, one night, we went up to their floor, and bashed in their whole window with cinder blocks. We had already all been charged for ours, so we had to make them pay.

it's nice having a mom, isn't it?

You said 6th or 7th speeding ticket. The rest of your message talks about parking tickets. Whic is it?

Well, when you finally grow up and get into the real world, be careful.

A buddy of mine DIDN'T pay his NYC parking tickets. Guess what happened to him?

When he got pulled over for not making a complete stop at a stop sign, the cop ran a check on him. After letting my friend stew in his car for 20 mins, the cop comes back over and escorts him to the squad car. About 10 mins later, a tow truck comes by. They IMPOUNDED HIS VEHICLE and scheduled it to be PUT UP FOR AUCTION. He ended up paying the parking tickets plus fines to prevent that from happening, but here's what really hurt:

Ticket costs IF paid on time: $200

Total penalties in towing and fines: $1000

Not very smart, eh?

PAY YOUR TICKETS.

Hey bud, i respect what you got to say, but really, don't talk without knowing the situation. Not very smart? Well, the fact is that I didn't have enough money to pay my tickets, i mean, i just didn't have the money. Second of all, people take tickets off your car when you get them, so you don't find about them till about a month afterwards sometimes. If i had money, i would pay them right away. As for having my mom pay for them, she actually knows i have gotten some, but my parents are pretty well off and pay for our (my siblings and my) college, however, i am smart, and go to school for free, so my parents really don't pay for anything for me. I do have a job, but it goes to pay for my car payments. I can't work too much, or i can't concentrate on school slash have fun in school.

Also, Arizona State Parking Service and New York City are a little different. It is kind of retarded how they do some parking things here, and sometimes taking the fine is worth it, if you even get one.

this is not complaining/yelling/screaming, this is part just clearing the air, part me bored enough to type this much

thank you

I agree with Gary95. Time to grow up. You say you don't have money to pay your speeding tickets - DON'T SPEED!!! It's a simple formula.

Things don't get any easier when you get older. Time to wise up.

Not raggin on ya', just don't think it's fair that your mom has to pay these things as 'misc' charges, at least tell her what they're for and make damn sure you pay her back every penny when you can afford it. She's being plenty good to you in that she covers your bills. My parents told me that if I wanted to go to school, I pay for it all myself. They didn't care if I only got 2 hours of sleep a night because of working/school/studying/fun.

Re: it's nice having a mom, isn't it?

My friends husband found this out:
ANY vehicle registered under the same name is entitled to be impounded for outstanding tickets.
Their son had outstanding tickets, and when her husband went into the City, he found the Sheriff waiting for the tow. He had to pay $500 on the spot to keep his car. DOH !

Here in Ontario you can not renew your license plates (yearly) if you have any outstanding tickets against it. It is a very effective (and cheap) way of enforcing parking tickets. I'm supprised it's not more common.
