Switching to Synthetic... 130k miles
I have an old car with 150k miles on it and was wondering if it was safe to switch to synthetics after all this time.
Just switched my Maxima to MobilOne 5W-30... Since Amsoil gave me the wrong ****ing bottle. I like it so far, the heater works faster (raises to driving temp much faster) and stays lower on average.

It's a Ford Escort 95 
. I'd be insane if I could put that many miles on a 1 1/2 month old car.

You probably don't want to switch a car with that many miles on it to synthetic. The explanation:
NOTE: If your vehicle has over 80 or 90,000 miles on it or is more than 8 or 9 years old, and you are not currently using another synthetic oil, you may not wish to switch over to AMSOIL. Vehicles with such high mileage may have dry, cracked seals and gaskets. Having used conventional oils for so long (even with 3,000 mile oil changes), the sludge and deposits from oil burn-off may have caused a build-up to occur which is plugging the gaps around these seals and gaskets and preventing leaks.
Flushing such an engine with AMSOIL Engine Flush might uncover these leaks and create the need for replacement. Depending upon your situation, you may not wish to do this. Even if you don't flush the engine and simply put synthetic oil in the engine, the high quality detergent additives in the oil would eventually clean out these deposits anyway. This is a decision that you will have to make on your own.

And considering there is only 24 hours in the day he would have to AVERAGE for 24 hours 132.97 MPH. Heh, thats not including car pitstops (oil changes,gas,tires and various other service items) human pitstops (food, sleep, the 3 S's although only 1 'S' is probably truely needed)
So should he have been able to do that on the 2K2 (I know its a 95 Escort...I read the post) he is the definate iron man in my book!
