my car just plain died....(sorta long)

It died in the middle of a busy street on Saturday and I was in a
suit having left church (yesterday is the ONE day of the year I ever
go to church)..(in Chief Wiggum's voice) "WHere's your messiah
now? ...myeh!"...

Anyhow, I boosted my car, and it started immediately, then, we
disconnect and it died...we let it charge for about 5 minutes, and
then i started to drive and then it died again :mad )

Ok, battery out, (the car atleast rolled into a parking spot) I get a
ride with my brother...

NOW, the whole time this was happening, my dash was out -- no gauge
cluster, just a gaping whole, accessories NOT plugged in -- I was
putting in chrome gauge rings, another nightmare) -- Um, call me
ignorant, but, was that my problem?

I let the battery charge for 2 hours, got a ride back to my car and
hooked it up drove home fine yesterday...drove me thru my
neihborhood last night and today...

BUT, my car still will vibrate at low rpms, or reverse, and has shut
off two or three times more but starts immediately, even though I've:

1) Changed PCV and fuel filter (very dirty)
2) Cleaned throttle body intake (very dirty)
3) Changed Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (could of been a cause)

Now I'm thinking alternator and throttle wire itself????
Any one else have an idea?

all appreciated
