Paint emblem

Paint emblem

I want to paint my emblems on my 2000 maxima gle black to match my car. Has anyone done this? Can I just can a can of primer and paint and paint them or do I need to pre it?

I tried painting my emblems. Same thing, black on my black 2k GLE. They looked good for a few months, but then the paint starting peeling off. It's really a ***** because if you want to take the emblems off you lose the tape they use to put them on so you either have to buy new emblems or more tape (which looks tacky). The best way to paint them is remove them, primer, paint, them clear coat. But still you gotta figure out how you want to reapply them. Maybe some glue? I used a couple dabs of super glue to put them back on.

A couple dabs of super glue? OMG, I guess you are not taking it off again without taking some paint with it!

u gotta sand it down a bit for the paint to stick

I would love to get the black paint off of my MAXIMA and SE badges (The come standard painted black) but doubt it would turn out to good. The paint is starting to chip off badly and it looks like crap.
