American Muscle beat by 2k2

Just raced a 1970 Chevrolet Camaro SS. It was in good condition so I figure it was a good race. We were doing 60 and he was coming up full throttle so I gun it too. He creeps past me but he was racing with the head start. By about 100 the 2k2 prevailed. It was funny though the girl he had in his car was hanging on for dear life.

don't beat up on old V8's on the highway! thats just mean! those thigns were never known for high speed races, they were all about the down low, off the line, neck snapping, torque. take him from the line and you wouldn't be catching him till 100 again. but, good kill, notch another for maximas...

Yeah, no kidding! I hit 120mph last night for the first time in my new max. It was sweet...just wound out 5th gear and shut it down. I then came up next to a newer stang Cobra at the light coming off the off ramp. I made sure not to provoke him at the light cause I knew he'd waste me off the line...and probably in the higher gears too! Of course the newer stangs/camaro's have better highway capes than those old ones.

Hey, show that 'ol muscle some respect! That's 32 year old iron your beatin up on and something I wouldn't be very proud of. If anything, I'd say he probably got the best of you and turns a lot more heads while cruising around town! Don't get me wrong, I love my max's (bought 4 new ones in the past 8 years), but there's nothing better sounding than a healthy V-8 rumble that stands the hair on the back of your neck!

Big Blocks were made for the 1/4... , thats before fuel injection....Those cars can be modded with under 5K to run 10's... but no high end power..Always show respect to the original Racers !
