I'm only poking fun so don't get mad. Would you rather have your Max built in Japan or USA? Your Clarks shoes made in England or Portugal? Your tires made in Japan or Korea (good effort by Kumho advertising during the Stanley Cup playoffs? Your girlfriend's Jimmy Choos or Manolos (Blahniks) made in Italy or Tennessee (ask Madonna not Al Gore )?

Made in USA is awesome, in some cases--like the Honda Accord or Chevy Corvette. But translate it to Nissan and it equates to factory recalls on the cooling system and 4 steel wheels (ask my friend with the 2001 Sentra). If the G35 has a prop rod, what's next? Holding the Max's hood up with your forehead?

Maxima made in USA. Excellent......

gtr_rider: Please *explain* why you hate it, cuz I can't imagine a sane reason.

Frank: Thank you, well put.

why is everyone so against prop rods? i've yet to come across a prop rod that got in my way. the only thing gas struts do are fail causing the hood to crack on your head... and boy does it hurt!

YAY FOR PROP RODS!

struts look nicer. my 96's are 6+ years old and still going strong.
