Damn it! Stripped a god damn bolt.

Ok... I was about 5 minutes away from completion of the removal of the entire Right-Front suspension when I saw this one lone bolt connecting the Lower-Control Arm to the bottom of the thing the wheel connects to (hehe?)...

I tried an 18 and it was too small... Tried a 19 and it fit, I turned with all my strength and WHAM... It strips the entire bolt into a nice circle.

I can't get the ****ing thing off... I need to get the god damn thing off... Please help me.

I can't get it out from underneath my car to get it into a vice... And the bolt is so tight that it cannot be removed with a vice grip

You will probably have to end up drilling it out.

Go to your local shop and buy a bolt extractor, first you will have drill a hole in the bolt and the use a the extractor to unscrew it, I've did this many time in my life and worked out for me, I would suggest that you use a lot of WD40 it will help.

Cheers

Or... use a grinding wheel from the Dremel, cut a big notch in the top of the bolt, and use a ratchet with a screwdriver-head to wrench it loose.

If I **** up then I ruin a very expensive part of my car... There is very very limited access to turning the bolt... I suck with dremel...

Where should I buy bolt loosener (Home Depot? etc?).

Whats an easy-out and is it simple to use (where do i get one)

This happened to me when working on the FSTB. I went to Sears and picked up an extractor. If there's a Sears nearby, check them out.

Yep Turns out the damage to my car isn't that bad... I am very very happy. Nissan quoted me $3468 and it turns out only about $200-$300 is actually damaged.

I am very impressed with the strength of the maxima. And the mechanics may be very very overpriced and quoted me a ****load of money but they were still nice and didn't mind when I took the car and said I would do it myself. They actually gave me suggestions and shook my hand.

Are you doing the repairs yourself and that is why you were taking the suspension off? It is so much cheaper if you know how to do it vs. paying the steeler.

On my old daytona like 12 yrs ago. I was changing the thermostat and the bold on the housing is so tight. So I put the socket on the nut and then the wrench on it and freaking stand on top of my engine and just stomp on it.

Guess what......the freaking nut came off.....not screw off but came off completely and the antifreeze squirt all over. I end up have it tow to my local repair shop and drive the rest of the screw out.
