My max did something really weird last nite ... has this ever happened to you?

I was driving around after picking up my car with my body kit finally installed and my Volks back on. Then the car started losing power and the growl from my y-pipe, SI & HKS exhaust disappeared and instead I had a very wet gurgling noise coming from the car.

Then the Service Engine Soon light came on & I freaked out & called the body shop. But after driving for another 15 seconds .. everything went back to normal.

Happen to anyone else?

What the heck would have caused that gurgling noise and loss of power & Service Engine Soon light to come on like that?

That would be my guess as well. But he says it went back to normal Now that is strange. I'd check the intake, MAS sensor and make sure all the electrical connections are secure. Also might want to pull the codes from the ECU, it may have stored what happened.

Definitely sounds like bad gas. Happened to me once.

From what I've heard (and seen with my one experience), that condition doesn't harm the engine. It's just that there's improper combustion which causes the gurgling and sputtering. Just burn off that tank and see if the condition persists with another fillup.
