Hood Pin Locks & 2K2 HIDs
Hood Pin Locks & 2K2 HIDs
For those who would be willing to put these on their hood...couldn't hood pin locks be used to prevent the theft of the 2K2 HIDs??
In addition with the "bolt kit" thats being offered in one of the posts below...im thinking the only possible way to even get to them would be to break the housing
and this way...the hood pin locks would turn off a few of the thieves who wouldnt want to go through the trouble
...and even if they were dumb enough to try to get through the hood locks...they would be met with the bolts

what I need to know
is if they are sticking something in to hold down that hood pin to defeat the alarm.. If so, we can move the plunger or make a small metal part that would block their tool.
Interseting........
By putting the hood pin lock set....that might void the rust proof warranty. As far as how they use something to jam the pin on the hood. That is interesting. My thought is remove the rod that hold up the hood, put a whole bunch of razor blades behind the grille so when they reach up, they'll get cut senseless. Or TimW can you come up with something that could make the headlights detachable so we could put it next to our pillow at night when we go to sleeP.
I was thinking about if they are so easy to be taken off...I might as well take them off at night and put them back in the morning!

tomorrow..
I am going to *try* to use wire to hold the bottom of the lights in, around the clips. that wouldnt hurt anyone, but the lights wouldnt be able to be ripped free and would cause even more confusion.
