Which Max to Buy? Your opinion/experiences are appreciated!!

Well, as you can probably see, I'm a newbie so just want to say what's up to u all...although I've known about Maxima.org for over a year, and have been combing the forums 24/7 for the last few weeks. I fell in love with the Max a couple years back, and was close to buying the 2000-2001 model. I'm glad I waited, b/c the 2002 is awesome! I test drove the Maxima SE 6sp this past weekend, and d*mn its fast! I currently drive an SUV, and I love it. But I can't wait to get a sport luxury sedan like the Max. I also test drove the new Altima 3.5SE, and that was nice too. It seemed a little quieter and smoother than the Max, but I hate the interior. The middle of the dash (radio/controls) remind me of the last Ford Taurus model, and the materials used feel tacky.

So I think I'm stickin to my guns and gettin the Max! I'm lookin to buy within the next few months. Any reasons why I should or shouldn't? Also, what changes are comin for 2003, is it worth the wait/price hike? I know the Max is gonna suck in 2004 though, when it turns into a big boat on wheels...

Thanks in advance!

you got a problem with 2000-2001 models??? just playin. 2003 is suppose to be almost exactly like the 2k2 so you might just want to save some money gettin a 2k2. Do a search and I think you'll find several complaints but overall everyone here is super satisfied with their Maximas.
