Check This Out, I was installing colored 194's behind my gauges and.......

something shorted causing my gauge cluster lights to "not" illuminate and my airbag (yes airbag) light to come on when the car is started. Everything else works fine and NO fuse blew...

Anybody else have this bizarre incident?

I looked at the back of the dash (where the 194's & harnesses plug in) and the end where it grounded left a mark and I don't know if the circuit completes.

But..... my "idiot" lights all work (especially the airbag one)...

Any thoughts??? Would something else have blown? The airbag fuse is fine, they all are...

I am wondering if there is a short in the gauge cluster somewhere causing the airbag light to come on? But the lights don't illuminate and my tail lights DO work....

replacec the bulb, perhapse the bulb is allowing the too much current to run through it and is messing things up. For instance, I had a blinker bulb that had melted down onto its other filament(dual filament) When I would turn my tails on everything was fine. When I would turn my blinker on my fog lights would turn off. Bizzare, but when I replaced the bulb my lights all worked fine. I would by inspecting the new bulb and replacing it if neccessary. Also try to unplug the 4 harnesses and reinserting them, maybe some to the ribbon contacts are double connecting.
