I never liked the steering wheel on the non-airbag GXE's and got a used 240SX wheel. It's a 3 spoke, leather wrapped and an inch smaller in diameter than the original one. As I suspected, the Nissan wheels from the early 90's all mount the same and are interchangeable. It went right on, the wiring all works and matches up with the steering column.
So if you can't get a SE wheel, these are a good substitute.

I found it on ebay: $47. I suspect that any Nissan wheel, with similar cruise control buttons, is a drop in replacement. The electrical connection between the wheel and the steering column is via slip rings (3), and two tabs for the turn signal self canceler.
