3M vs. Meguires

Has anyone had experience with plastic polishes/cleaners from either company? I'm wanting to make my headlights look new again on my 98 SE, if you had experience with either please let me know if they are any good?

Never used it on my max but before i had a 92 325i and the plastic got pretty foggy over time. I decided to try 3M stuff and wow, it made my headlights pretty much new again, i coulnt not believe how nice they cam out. I would definitly recommend 3M. I never tried the Meguires stuff so i cant speak for that, but the 3M stuff worked.

NOPE..

Mequires the best wax.
I used to own 1991 Honda Accord EX sedan (Frost White) and Mequires product gave out the best shine... I tried 3M, Zino etc....

Recommendation for Mequires wax...
If you car have bumps and dirty ... First go with Mother or Mequires clay bar. Any clay bar will work..
Second use Mequires #7 show car shine and go over entire car twice..
It will give you the best shine.
Third use Mequires #26 yellow wax (paste one is much better than liquid one) and go over entire car once.. After that wax the car once / two month..

3M does work as it says in instruction.. but buffing out the wax it little harder than Mequires prouduct.. Also Mequires product does not leave white stuff..

If anyone is 3M wax product.. Why not try Mequires???

That is your reasoning for a better wax? An opinion?

I guess you aren't getting the top of the line 3M. You can get meguires at pep boys. That shows you right there...

I'm not getting into a debate of opinions. Get what you want and use what you like.

You sound a little biased to me. I am imoressed with everything 3M does...

I am with FJC. 3M makes some mean car care products. I used to use Meguirs because thats what my parents used and being young I was not going to buy teh stuff myself. Then I got a job at 3M as an intern and saw that they made car care products in the company store. I bought the wax and WOW is it good stuff. I'm not saying Meguiars is bad, just that I personally like 3M products and very much recommend them. I know a lot of work goes into them as they are developed and tested in the basement of the building I am currently writing this reply in. To each man his own.
