Re: check engine light... not sure on this one

I have a 1996 Maxima with 125,000 and my check the engine light came on and I was experiencing a rough shift from first to second; diagnosis: 12 05 line pressure solenoid valve (automatic). I just had it repaired at the dealership (I don't have any place to do it myself), cost $491.85 ($311.00 was labor)runs well now but hurt my pocket. Good luck.

hi,
i too have to still replace my engine coolant temperature sensor, i have the part but haven't done it yet. anyways, when i went to buy it from the dealership, they asked me which one i needed because there are apparently two ECTS's. i dunno if this helps but, there you go.

yes it does help because i only replaced one and my check engine light is still on i was wondering why ... now ill find the other and get it done... luckily i used to work for nissan selling so i can get a little help but not too much... they just really tell me whats wrong and what to do without charging me out the *** for a diagnostics test.
