alarm bs

alarm bs

my alarm works like once out of every 15 times i try it, am i maybe setting it wrong? whats the right way to do it? and if its broken do i just buy a new alarm and have someone install it or whatever? god i sound like a girl talking like that...

oh yeah forgot about that part. i just lock the car with the key from the outside and then reach through an open window and unlock the door

or two other ways...1 if the doors are locked(look at the dash light alarm should be blinking) and you have your trunk open for more than 3-5 minutes the alarm will go off..


2 i belive the same, just guessing, that if your hood is left open (you see the alarm bulb blinking) and look the door it should go off at 3-5 minutes


and of course if you open the lock from inside and the open the door with the out side handle will trigger the alarm... For example... if some one breaks the window to open the locks > then uses the door handle to open the door it will tirgger the alarm... sigh just our 3rd gen stock alarms just suck...

btw it takes 30 sec for the alarm to activate once all doors hood and trunk are locked...

give it a few minutes to arm first. the manual says 30 seconds, but mine sometimes took longer..

no prob.. but if you have the time and money get an aftermarket alarm that has remote starter and all the bells and whistels... you can arm it and disarm it and you have a visual or audio sign that its armed.. besides it better than stock crappy alarm..
