It was the kind with the snorkeled hood and the honeycomb taillights. We were getting onto this 2 lane road and I saw that he was looking over with interest in my Maxima. He motioned me to follow him on a 2 lane road off the the right and I followed. I heard him downshift as he was taking the corner and he punched it while I followed him. I was practically polishing his bumper as I hit second gear so I had to wait for him to shift to get back into boost. At the next stoplgiht I didn't have much on him from a standstill but I was able to keep him from getting more than 1/2 a car length on me. From a rolling start I was able to keep with him as I was in boost. He was pretty cool, giving me a tumbs up after a couple a couple more runs on the same road. What kind of times do they run? Whats the power output?

 

Could be LT1 or LS1. The only way I can differentiate is by the Ram-air, tailights, and maybe exhaust.
Ram-air: LS1 looks more like a nostril with 4 openings; LT1 looks like a small square scoop. The tailights on the LS1 have small but prominent circular reverse lights; the LT1's reverse lights are hidden in that "mesh".

LS1 Ram-air cranks an underrated 320hp. The LT1 Ram-air cranks 305hp.

No surprise you stuck with him on the turns...those big boats can't handle well even with their huge wheels, perf tires, and low stance. But nice job keeping up on the straight-away...the strength of those modern muscle cars.

By the way, all Ram-airs are 6-spd manual or 4-spd auto.
