"service engine soon" light...what does it mean?

I am at 59K on the odo. I just had Nissan do the 60K servicing, about three weeks ago. The light just came on. I called Nissan and they are saying to bring it in for a check. I'm thinking the odometer kicked the thing back on and Nissan wants me to bring it in to charge me $60 bucks to tell me it was nothing! Any suggestions or comments on what to do? Thanks

before you take it in anywhere. Do yourself a favor and find out what is wrong with it 1st. You can do an easy test to find out why the light is on and then look up what it is.. check out the link i posted.

They wouldn't charge you $60 to tell you its nothing...

They'd charge you $60 and then, they'd say a bunch of crap needed to be serviced/replaced, and charge you $450
