rpm increase?? with new intake????
rpm increase?? with new intake????
i was wondering for all the people with either pop or cai...i was wondering after you installed your new intake either one, did you rpm sit higher when you are at stop...for example with me, when i had stock intake and was at a red liight my rpm needle would sit pretty much around half or very close to it...then i put in my injen cai and it was sitting closer to 1 rpm, then i was concerned becasue everyone was saying that my after i put in my cai there should be some increase in sound but i had none and then decided to reset my ecu by using the method of going under the gas pedal and turing it clockwise and counter well u know and now after resetting the rpm is closer to half like stock...is this correct or i dont know just need feedback....
Re: rpm increase?? with new intake????
You should wait a week. Your Car's computer needs to learn this new intake. My 1t week with intakes is always strange. WHen I went to Hybrid, lo end was terrible, high end was insane. Week later, low end much better, high end not so insane.

The 1st week sucked, but after that, it was about the same as my CAI.
I didn't quite DIY
I bought the new JWT POP intake and used parts from my existing PRCAI. I wanted the venturi and JWT or Stillen was the ONLY way to get that.

You may have leak, are you sure you installed all the fitting correct?
Because the extra rpm does mean sometimes that there is leak in some places.
Check out and let us know about this problem.
