this past weekend I was cruising from Dallas to Austin on IH35 around 1:30 am and caught up to an svt taurus? I had never heard or seen an svt taurus, but that's what it said- so anyway I pull up right behind him( it's a 2 lane highway) and he flashed his reverse lights at me and then we just cruised around 100 because of all the truckers until I swung over to an on-ramp where I hit wot and flew past him and the trucker. I guess it was all too real for this guy because I couldn't get him to bite on a side-by-side after traffic cleared and I slowed down for him. Anyone know if ford even made an svt taurus? It still looked like a POS taurus- haha

And how exactly did he flash his reverse lights at you on I35. Or better, how did he flash them while he was moving?

And darn it I drive on 35 all the time, don't kill me by overtaking in the enter/exit lane at 100.

 

the car was labeled on the trunk lid svt NOT sho- positive...and the reverse lights I'm guessing were a rewire since the bulbs he had in them were custom...it's hard to miss reverse lights flashed repeatedly at you especially outside the parking lot...I'm still thinking american rice?

 

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure there has never been a taurus with an SVT badge. He probably just stole that off of a cobra mustang and stuck it on his car.

agreed, mzmtg, no such as a taurus SVT. it may have had the label. only modified factory taurus are SHO. i raced one two weeks ago at the track when i had (still do) have a dead knock sensor and perhaps an o2 sensor as well. i bogged the launch and he jumped me. i managed to get to his rear doors before we finish. all i have is a cone intake and i'm auto
