motorized antenna- how do I disconnect the motor?

I have a pioneer HU and everytime I turn it on, no matter if its CD or Radio, the antenna would come up which is normal for the pioneer. I want to disconnect the motor so it will stay down/ Which plug or wire do I disconnect?

i think you can disconnect the power from the antenna side. look in near the car jack and disconnect the harness. this way you won't have to cut any wires and if you want to connect later it will always be easy to connect it back up.

so is there a way I can do it so that the antenna would still function, only it wouldn't pop up?

if you unplug the antenna motor harness (what max808 said) it would function... probably not very well though it'd still work just the motor would be disconnected i believe u wana sell the motor?

I have the same quesiton. I have a kenwood recvier and the atenna goes up when its powered. I look in the back, and all i see is that metal box by the car jack. I see two plugs. I see one small one and one big harness. Both of them are connected to a metal box which says keyless entry something. So could i just take out that big harness and my keyless system work? I took out the small plug and the attena still went up. Wat should i do?
