Hey man, how did you get the decals off the rear panel of the trunklid? I tried to get at mine with an excato blade. No easy peel-off here. those stickers are well adhered to the surface..any solvent that won't damage the plastic?
Thanks

i would try heating them either buying rubbing them with a sponge with hot water or use a hair dryer. i used both to debadge my old jetta. i used dental floss to get it off. since its stickers, i would use a razor blade. i just took off my old tints yesterday and a razor blade worked. make sure you get the adhesive off too. you might want to buy some 3M adhesive remover for that if there is any left on your car. good luck

hey I saw your car at the meet, they did a good job shaving the molding, the new paint looked good too, I was gonna do that do when I get my new paint and kit next month but I was talking with Val (190hpkilla) and he agreed that the molding kinda joins the front to the back and I thought it looked kinda wierd without it, but it also makes the sides look cleaner and more sleek. are you happy with the way it came out? Im not sure if I wanna do it or not,

THANKS>.....I DID the moldings myself...they just painted the car....but I love the new look. The car just flows now...no breaks...it took me about a year to do...I was bs-ing...ask chris91se...I had 3 doors done for the longest then finally finsihed the passenger door..and had the car resprayed

since you have an 89, get a razor then not an exacto...then just scrape the sticker off...you don't need the 3m product for the adhesive...since its not that strong anyways...and has been there for 13 years...it will look weird for a while because that little spot has been clean that look but soon enough it blends in.....I love my shaved moldings....I think I might be the first to actually take mine off and fill them...

They look real good. I do have a question though. Did you just round them off with the shape of the door or did you put that little crease (on the bumpers and follows up to the molding) all the way across it. I was going to do it but didnt want to fool with trying to put that little crease all the way across because I am not good enough to make it perfectly straight.
