88 maxima water pump

Hi all...how involved is it to R&R the water pump?...Any motor re-positioning involved?...Just a weekend mechanic with no extravagant tools...Thanks guys for your help!

You must remove the drive belts, crank pulley and upper/lower timing belt covers. It can be done in 1 day depending on how inclined you are. Make sure you rent/borrow a gear puller to remove the crank pulley. Also this would be a good time to replace the T-stat since its right there and both radiator hoses. Be sure to have a 8mm socket so you can remove the T-belt cover bolts, also while the WP-PS pump belt is still on loosen the water pump pulley bolts (10mm). This should save some time. I would change the T-belt at the sametime, because if coolant gets on the old one it could wear out quicker. Not to mention it is about $15-25 extra for peace of mind.
