just curious...I mean, both items are essentially the same, so, why should I spend 4 times as much for the item?

THOUGHTS?

THANKS!!!

OK, some clarification:

velocity stack a la Stillen

OR

simple bolt-on MAF adapter

Does the velocity stack justify a price difference of $115 vs. $35?

Thanks!

Stillen and JWT have them. The others do not. Is it necessary?? I think so, given that a POP style filter is **right there** on top of the MAF. The venturis/velocity stack will help smoothen the air flow and make it easier for the MAF to get a more accurate airflow reading. It may help low end torque more than high end power.

EDIT:It may help low end torque more than high end power, especially in conditons of part throttle where there's very low airflow velocity.

Do you think the price difference justifies the added "features"?
Thanks!

Well, just about. If you were to make your own venturi, it would cost about $50 I beleive. I definitely would go with the venturi. Maybe if you had a monsterflow filter the venturi would not be necessary b/c it straightens the flow due to the foam filter and those flow veins.

Look here, it's the silver dish with a hole in the middle;

Perhaps we should continue this thru PMs, if needed.
