Alarm LED wiring help - where can I tap into?

I have a varad alarm scanner led and right now I have it on a switch to turn it on (I still have factory alarm) but I would like to know if there was a place where I can tap the wires into so that the light will turn on once I press lock on the key remote. thanks. I was thinking about tapping it to the stock security led but is there a better way?

ok, after a little searching I read that if I connect the LED to the + battery and connect the negative side to the ground prong of the stock LED light, it would blink along with the Stock LED. Am I correct? or is there something im missing?

I am doing this also, do you remember which wire was the ground for the stock LED, the green/yellow, or the yellow/green?
