Don't sweat it. I ran a 16.25 my first trip to the track this year in April. I think a y-pipe would help a lot and try different launching methods and tire pressures. I still think that full torque off the line and leaving it in Drive is the fastest at least for me.

no I dont have a time slip. The reason is because at this particular event, which is called Club 1320, they dont give time slips. It is set like a street race. The tree goes from the staging lights to green. So it all depends on reaction. But i will be going to the track with in the next couple of weeks or so, so I will be sure to get those slips for you. And how Iknow I ran a 15.5 is because I had my frieands tell me what Iwas running. My first two passes were a 15.7 and a 15.6. Dam I wish they gave time slips cause so I could show you all. Sorry

I believe you because when I hit 15.62, I spun a little on take off. I should be able to run 15.5 stock also.

I guess I could believe your 15.5 stock. Probably ran when the weather was pretty cool right? Problem is down where I live it is very hot. Most of the times when I ran, the weather was like +90 degrees. Maybe next time, I'll stay until night to run with the cooler weather and see how I'll do.

What is so hard to believe about a 15.5 stock? My mom's 1998 Toyota Camry v6 automatic with sunroof ran 15.443 best time completely totally absolutely stock.

BTW, since you're from DEL where do you race? Ever been to cecil county dragway?

im a bit scepticle on a camery running a 15.4 but anything is possible i guess
but i do believe a 15.5 in a stock auto max. i ran a 15.6 in my 96' maxima with spare tire out and on my stock GLE rims (very light) now i have a place racing CAI and getting a y pipe and exhaust, hopefully i can get into real low 15's and with a few more mods and keeping my car N/A i can be one of the very few N/A automatic maxima's in the 14's

You don't take it out, you replace it if it has gone bad. The knock sensor (or detonation sensor) detects knocking in the engine and it can retard the timing if it goes bad. I think this is the reason why my VE feels so much slower when it heats up to operating temp and starts to run off of the sensors. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
