Best way is to try them all yourself and compare. Don't torque, torque to 1000 rpm, torque max, put in D and let it shift, OD on/off, manual shift etc.

I leave mine in D with OD on and torque to about 1500. Gotta try and see what works best. May even be different on different days, ie hot/cool weather etc. Traction is the important thing off the line and some days it just ain't there. Track prep is also a factor, some tracks just don't prep as well if at all.

yes DO NOT go through the waterbox... i had to find out the hardway LOL.... i really wasnt prepared when i went to the track... my tires were showing steel... and i had a bunch of trash in my car and didnt take anything out lol....

this was my first time to the track.... i went through the waterbox with my bald tires.... and came up with this on my first run

r/t....too embarrasing
60ft...2.8082(no traction..can you tell)
330ft..7.2819
1/8et..11.0219
1/8mph.65.83
1000et.14.2633
1/4et..17.0311
1/4mph.81.81

unfortunately.. i didnt get to get in another good run without going through the waterbox because my tranny decided that it didnt want to shift into 3rd anymore at full throttle.... so these runs were 1st..2nd.. then letting off.....

r/t......8033
60ft.....2.5890
330ft....7.1290
1/8et....10.8974
1/8mph...65.69
1000et...14.1818
1/4et....17.1756
1/4mph...73.81

and

r/t......embarrasing
60ft.....2.5279
330ft....7.0370
1/8et....10.7731
1/8mph...66.57
1000et...14.0339
1/4et....17.0093
1/4mph...73.92

so i guess my last run was my best.. ... i need a rebuild...

Did you mean .803 (8 tenths of a second) not 8.03 (meaning 8 seconds)?

I went Friday night and I was getting 2.4 60's quite often. I had the front tires around 22 and the back at 40. I drove around the water box everytime, and didn't brake torque, and manually shifted on my best runs.

On my best runs, I was going with the windows down and the music loud. I smoked an old firebird and he looked at me like I was crazy when I was bumping full blast at the staging area.

damn man, 3k launches....start saving for a new tranny, that **** is deadly on our trannies!!!

my best 60' came from "flash stalling"...I've found that torque braking(especially in the torquey VG) anywhere higher than 1200rpm leads to heavy wheel spin and bad times.

Yeah....i'm suprised it's lasted for so long...163k+ miles...unless it's already been replaced b4 I bought it. Anyway of telling if it's been done?????

Getting my pully on tomorrow. I may go back sunday night and try launching at about 1200-1500 like everyone has said and see how much difference the udp makes.
