Are you still happy with your maxspeeds??

Looking to buy a set...just wondering if everyone is still happy with them. Seems that most if not all like em from the start...

Thanks for the input so far. I wasn't sure if they were a good spring because they seem to sell for so cheap. Any long time users out there???

Anyone who tells you the MaxSpeed Springs on the .org here are bad, he/she is a freagin lemming.

Thats all this board has turned into. Bashing parts and this and that and also a freagin "selling" place for a stolen idea product.

The MaxSpeed springs are just fine, I have had them the longest and there is not a single problem and nor will there be a problem or anything else. They are manufactured by the same company that makes H&Rs.

Will I need to buy replacement struts with Maxspeeds? If so, are there any lowering springs out there that involve me being able to keep my OEM struts?

I planned on keeping my stock struts...from what I've read, you don't have to change anything with the maxspeeds. If anyone wants to post some pics of their car looking tight, I'd appreciate it. Especially some 2k2's...with stock rims....

Last ques...who's running the best deal on them right now?

I am sure once we get all the orders out we may be able to swing another Group Deal...perhaps in a couple weeks...otherwise you can e-mail Lee "Borgioli74@aol.com" if you like and see if there may be something he can do for you...don't expect the Group Deal price right off but let him know I said you were referred from the posts here...ask for his best estimate on what he can do. Good Luck and Happy Motoring!

the maxspeeds were built to be used with stock struts.. changing the struts to aftermarket lowcharge struts may not be the best thing to do.

Are any other springs made to work with the stock struts? (i.e. H&R, Eibach, Progress)

the last 5th gen group deal ended about a week ago. theres one for the 4th gen maxspeeds right now. if you want to email lee... borgioli74@aol.com... he is the seller. see if hes interested in putting together another gd for 5th gens. just fyi, the last gd had a lot of interest but didnt do as well as we all thought. we got it down to $85 + shipping.

if you dont want to wait for a groupdeal, ive heard that some .org members simply contacted lee and asked him for an individual maxima.org discount and he sold them the springs for $95+shipping.

good luck. btw, they ship pretty fast. mine are still sitting in my living room. hahaha... i gotta get these babies put on... but where?!

Thanks Kloogy...nice pics. Doesn't seem to be too bad of a drop. I'm ready to order. I'd get a group deal together, but it seems that most people already have em that want em. $95 is so cheap though...the last two sets of springs I bought for cars were over $200. (Eibach and RSR)

DrVolkl-

Keep me informed, I'd definitely be down to purchase a set, and then find a repair place to do it for me. 5 hrs. Kloogy? I don't know if I could purchase enough food and bevs for that one :-)

I put mine on with the stock struts and is just fine. I think it is a waste of money to buy aftermarket struts.

On Eibach's site in the FAQ section it specifically says they are designed to work with your stock struts.

Maxspeeds bought from Borgioli 2 months ago and just had them put on two weeks ago. Kept the stock struts on, and the ride is almost stock. Here are some pics.

Just got an e-mail back from Lee, he's isn't doing that price @ present time. Where else could I get them for not too much?

Still love my Maxspeeds

I don't think that it's a waste of money to upgrade the struts/shocks. The stock struts weren't calibrated to handle the spring rate of aftermarket springs. The Maxspeed/stock strut combo is close to stock but let's admit that it is stiffer (which is good). If I had the money at the time I would have gotten tok's or the kyb's along with the springs, this way I would have only paid for installation once.

I've had mine on for at least 4 months and I'm still happy with them...

Nice sight...found the springs. Looks like $99.99 with shipping. Not bad at all.

Smartest most accurate comment from a NEWBIE ! You are 100% correct. If you feel the need to donate more $$ to Eibach and H&R, then go ahead. I have owned Eibachs before, and they are overated ! I have an RSB and FSTB and my Maxspeeds and I run cars on the twisties very nicely ! With a 4 door sedan ! Oh, they are lower now, than the pictures on my homepage show. I will post new pictures when I get my wheels !
