Is 28mm Offset good for 18X8?

I read the FAQ's but the wheel I like only has 28mm offset, so what bad effects would I have if I got a 28mm offset wheel? Would the wheels stick out? Or in?

Thanks

I have 17x8 w/ 30-32mm offset. On a 3-gen it's perfect. 4-gens need more offsets I believe. (ie.. lower # = wheels stick out more)So your 4-gen needs a bit more offset. I think 28mm would work fine a 3-gen but it would be closer to the outside fenderwell.

Wow Jeff, those look like Mustang wheels, are they?

I'm pretty sure it'll be okay, if not I'll just trade the same wheel, but in 7.5" wide, which has an offset of 35mm, unlike the 8".

Thanks.
