Paint Job...
You are right, the pearl is very hard to work with. The auto body guy that I had do the job gave me a great deal, but not a great job. I had him do a lot of work for me in the past (like when my wife backed the Pathfinder into the garage). It cost me only $500 for everything: My car had had hail damage, and the previous owner dropped a picinic table on it a couple weeks before I bought it, and I got that repaired too. He didn't re-paint the door handles or mirrors, I guess he didn't want to tape all the keypads. Anyways, I am going to have him do the door handles and mirrors next spring. They are very close in color, but just off enough to drive me nuts. As for the rest of the car, it looks very good, and a nice shine.
To sum it up...It can be done.
