Is there a simple way to reconfigure the cigarette lighter to supply power even when the car is off?

rewire the cigarette lighter directly to the battery... or just connect a wire to ure battery then pull it from the bay to the dash then directly connect it to the cigeratte lighter

Is there a relay that controls it? Maybe I can wire the "on" signal of that relay to the battery instead of from the ignition? If I run a wire, do I have to run it all the way to the battery or can I get a hot wire from somewhere inside the car?

hot wiring it from inside the car is the best way to go. I would say to use the wire that connects the ignition to the battery... i'm not sure which one it is. If you can't find the wire or whatnot, just pull a new wire from the battery through dash.... good luck
