Major weighloss program - this month's sports compact car

just took a quick look on this month's sports compact car and this is somethign amazing.

they start with a 01 sentra se....1/4 runs 16.3

and then they did everything to make it lighter, I am not just talking about taking out the seat, spare tires, etc. they took out everything and I mean everything, include.....windows, doors, roof, hood, fenders, trunk...everything! bascially just a running engine, tranny and whatever necessary to get it running.

and guess how much did it go...it actually have a FAT 2 second increase on 1/4...end up a 14.3.

impressive.....now we dun need to spend money on mods....

But just imagine stipping the 2k2 Max down. You're talking a 12 second car!

sure it will be. it just depends on what you yank out.
I guess, so long as it has a license plate, turn signals, etc

Actually, That would add some drag. How about filling the tires with Hydrogen, that would lose a couple of pounds. Then make the inside airtight and you wear a scuba mask, and then fill the inside with Helium (I guess Hydrogen may explode). that should take about 50 lbs more off.

Yeah, but then your scuba tank will add additional weight to the equation

BTW: I bet can tow a sentra with my 2k2 & still get 16.3 hahaha...
