I was wondering if there was any company out there that made ECU's for the maxima. I plan on having it turbocharged and I'm looking for a good way to keep my engine from going boom
I know most people probably use the Apex'i S-AFC but how reliable and tunable is it for turbo maxes? How did you go about tuning your engine to compensate for the turbo??

A custom ECU would be real helpful but don't know if anyone has the capacity to make them.

 

also...do you guys usse any other products for engine management?

 

This is your lucky day. Here is what i would do in your situation,
1. Use the search tool (i know its like a cliche now, but still)
2. talk to turbomax95- (ironcially he has a turbo 95 maxima...)
3. Talk to Y2kevinG- he has a group deal going for a new management system for timing, perferct for highboost!!!! Your going to want this and he has a group deal going...talk to him, he might be able to give u some more details...
4. to answer your question... u need fuel management, and timing retard....
those seem to be the two big issues with turbo.. oh yea, and figuring out space...

I wonder if this actually works?? I could just get a S-AFC but I heard they are a pain in the *** to work with and aren't too effective.
