Oil cooler

.org,

Does anyone in the NE or any other cold regions have a oil cooler? Share your likes/dislikes or happy/horror stories about it.

Wouldnt the oil cooler be bad for the winters in the NE? I was thinking about it but the guy told me I would have to put a cover on it for the winter

From what I've read here and on Accordv6.com most of the units would have a negative impact in cold weather unless they have some kind of thermal stability mechanism. The only one I know of that has it is the B&M Supercooler version. There may be others but I believe that is one of the better ones out there in keeping the fluid in a certain temp. range through viscosity gauging.

I agree. Read somewhere that the engine oil accounts for 60% of an engine's cooling w/o a cooler.
