rode in the fastest car ive been it yet!!

my buddy just got his license a couple of days ago and his dad owns his own shop and parts company for cars, so you can only imagine how nice some of the 9 cars they own are
anyway i went out with him after football practice and picked up his car its a 71' nova ss with a completely rebuilt 383 stroker and the whole car has been re-done!! its so awesome, i love it. his car runs 10's without nos or s/c its still n/a. we raced a supercharged cobra and had like 3 or more cars on it, raced a ws6 6-speed had close to 5 cars on it.. it feels good to pull up to cars like that and know u can destroy them we were going down rt. 59 at about 40mph he let of the gas and then floored it and chirped those babies at 40mph it was great, the only problem is that when u get out the car and in your own u feel like your maxima is a civic, lol. just kidding my max never and has never felt like a civic, anyway it was fun and its a great car.

A what? You put more cars on the Chevy than the Ford?? I don't think so.

And it runs 10s and you drive it around on the street?

My neighbor runs a low budget Chevelle and it's in the 10s. But it's on race gas and slicks. I doubt your friend's car is in the 10s and can still drive it on the street.

Nova in spanish means "No Go"
There is a rebuilt 72 Nova that comes by the races ever so often, needless to say he burns most of the ricers there. The only thing bad is that those things are liek tanks...

Ah Lignfelter does not equal rebuilt Nova 383. There is also probably a $50,000-$60,000 difference in the price of admission also.

There are so many aftermarket parts for those things, I don't doubt its fast. I'll race him for some $$$ His choice from a stand still or at a roll on...form ...lets say 150-190? Seriously, I know of a guy who built a motor into his vette that has around 1200 hp. But like Jeff said it has MEGA bucks into it.

he took the car to the track. it ran a 10.6 something, it is fast as hell. this kids dad owns a body shop and muscle car parts store. they are quite wealthy, i think he said they invested over 30k in the car, none the less the car is fast as hell and he does drive it around the streets, its not an everyday car. the scariest part is that they are not finished yet. they still are putting in bigger cams and the fan is too small so they are putting in a bigger one to keep the water temp cooler. this thing is a fu**ing beast!!!
