Ok to all my 5 th gen owners, does anyone have these on there cars???????( one of the guys here in So. Cal just ordered them so will have to wait to find out)
The reason I ask this is because, I met someone who works for the company, and they said as of now there is not a fit for 5 th gens, only for everybody else, he told me no one even sells them for 5th gens, I told him about Cattman who sells them, and he said stock there is no way they would fit, we would have to modify something(don't remember) from a 4th gen part.
So if any of you max owners have them can you post what you needed to do, to make them fit. thank you.........Bernie

 

I have them in the rear. and i made no mods the car/strut.

the front however need to be modified to fit correctly<i do not have these> i have GR2 in the front

 

I have them for my 2002, however I got them through Cattman. You may want to send him an email and ask him what the mod is

 

Cattman modded 4th gen AGX to fit on 5th gen has few issues....they tested their modded struts with progress and HR spring...but they didnt test the eibach spring. that's why one of the member here has problem with the prokit with AGX

it require some work on the strut mount that's why I have heard. do a search on this member, his user name start with Deven.

Yeah i had AGX on my Eibachs and i ran into some problems with wheel alignment and the Rear springs would not fit firmly. The front has some issues also. I switched back to Tokicos and Eibachs and gonna wait until the directly replacement comes out for 5th Gen from KYB. I have the GR2's in mine also, but not sure on that yet...

 

How does the GR2's handles in the front? I had them on my 93 Maxima and i know they were good, but i did a post about the GR2's for 5th gen and nobody replied...who else out there used the GR2's ????

 

they have help up very well. been in since march and the ride is great. i have hit pothole after pothole and they are going strong. i hate the roads out here

KYB GR2's AND EIBACH PRO-KIT i had on this baby. I used to take advantage over pot holes too.

 

hey Bernie, i thought the only mod that was necessary was taking approx 2mm off the top of the strut? i know thats what ive read like a million times.....i asked the same question a while back

as far as I know both the shocks and the strut mount have to be modified. Cattman has the modified struts (i am not sure what the mod is), and you have to shave (grind) 2mm of the strut mount. there is a write-up somewhere on this forum on how to grind the mount.
