What kind of cars do your keys fit????

I have a '92 Maxima, and I find that my key works in all later model GM's. At least '97 and up. It also only works in vehicles with double-sided keys!

Works as in operates the lock or just fits in the hole?

It actually fits in the door, and unlocks and locks it. It will not turn in the ignition, because gm's use chips in their keys.

Well my key doesnt work in our 2000 GMC Sierra...

It fits in the hole but wont turn. You can make just about any key fit in any hole, are you positive your key actually locks/unlocks it?

If you're correct on this ALL GMC keys should (in theory) also work on your car. Is this true?

GM keys will not fit in my car, neither in the door or in the ignition. Try flipping your key upside down, sometimes that works.

I have never had any problems with my key not working in a newer gm vehicle. I am absolutely, 100% positive that this actuall works.

All of the Grand Prixs that were mentioned are family owned

The Chevy Extreme was my friends

The Silverado was my friends

The S-10 was locked with the keys inside, i opened it for the owner, a foreign lady, who was a customer at my work.

Tried my Max key in both our 2001 Silverado and the 1994 Sentra. Fits in both vehicle door locks but will not turn. You must have some sort of skeleton key...

On the cars that i've tried it in, you have to jiggle it a little bit, and sometimes pull it out a little bit.

I just tried it and it works, key from 89 max in the driver's door lock for my mom's 97 Blazer. It took about a minute of turning it and popped right open, after I got the feel for it I could get it much quicker. This is definitely strange.... Scarier for the GM owners because even if they could open our cars, they have no real urge to steal a 3rd gen maxima, wait... they do drive GMs

Anyway just wanted to confirm this cause I thought it was BS at first too. Again I don't advocate using this to steal, but for getting a car open if you or someone has their keys locked in it or just as a trick to show your friends it is pretty useful.

That's strange

I will go ahead and give it a try. No need to break windows to steal something--just kidding.
