ADDCO rear sway bars -- $115 shipped
ADDCO rear sway bars -- $115 shipped
ADDCO rear anti-sway bars are one of my favorite Maxima parts because they work so well without having a negative impact on the car. Relatively easy to install, and always affordable but even moreso now.
I've got a whole heap of ADDCO rear anti-sway bars on hand with more on the way. These fit all 1995-2003 Maximas and are the gold-tone, zinc chromate plated bars. Bullet-proof against corrosion in a nice gold-tone finish, and they take a coat of paint well.
$115 while supplies last, shipped by ground anywhere in the continental 48 states. This is the last time we can do a deal at this price, ADDCO is raising their prices 10% on everything ordered after July 1.
If you want it shipped more quickly, or sent to Alaska, Hawaii or Canada (or elsewhere), I will credit $15 towards those shipping costs. Call 800.795.1513 to order and talk to a real live person, 8-5MST, M-F.

Also keep in mind that when it goes this way, there is no tracking number. If it doesn't arrive, no one knows where it is. We really don't like to ship USPS for that reason.

Re: Re: ADDCO rear sway bars -- $115 shipped
I'm sorry, but I just don't sell enough gen3 ADDCO bars to buy them in quantities that allow me to sell them at $115 shipped. In fact, I hardly sell any at all.
I'm kind of hesitant to push the ADDCO GEN3 bars for a couple of reasons. Their instructions for this application are REALLY horrible, actually labelled for a GM mid-size sedan, and I've never installed one. [The instructions for the 1995-2003 bars are somewhat cryptic, but much better than the gen3's.] If someone was willing to contribute a decent installation instruction set, I'd be somewhat more inclined to promote the gen3 ADDCO RSBs (I'd repay the favor).
Another drawback that affects ADDCO and other brands of aftermarket RSBs on the gen3 (only) is that the trailing links are not robustly secured to the underside of the car and the larger swaybars can rip them from the car if pushed hard. Those can be reinforced (most people don't have any problems and won't need to) and the issue is in no way unique to the ADDCO RSB, so I don't see this as a barrier to selling them, just something to let people know about.

No problem, there are more in the pipeline that should be here in a few days. The sale price will remain in effect. Just call in your order (800.759.9920) to make sure you're in line for the next batch and we'll charge your CC when it ships.

I am willing to contribute a full installation write-up.
Thanks Brian.
Got mine today!
It was waiting for me at my front door when I got home...
Went inside, changed, and under the car I went!
37 minutes later ( air tools rule!), I was done...
A quick spin around the block told me that this should have been done a long, long time ago.
Thanks, Brian!
Awesome deal.

Awesome deal.
Ordered mine on Monday! Have to wait though, the're out til Wed. Can't wait!!! We have a powder paint system at work, so I need to decide what color. Black texture, red, or blue? Leaning toward black cuz my car is black.
I installed mine yesterday, it seem to bolt up fine, a little tight on the square u-bolts though... I put the forwardmost bushings about an inch from the end of hte bar.
To be honest, I cant tell a difference really! It feels slightly more neutral in 50+ corners, but definitely not to the extent that some people record here. Should I move those bushings back a couple inches to the bends?

We could ship USPS by special request, but all you have to pay is GST and PST, no import duties on anything we sell that is made in North America (and almost everything we sell is).

when the package crosses the border, it is handled by Purolator and can be traced through them too with the same tracking number.
in order to alleviate the customs charges and GST and PST, it helps if the shipper declares the item a "Gift" with a "value under $30"
hope this helps any fellow Canuckle-heads north of the 49th

I am interested as well
Can someone tell me does the strut bar take away the somewhat luxery ride of the maxima? I am looking to improve upon the smoothness of my rid and I am wondering whether the RSB has anything to do with enhancing this? If not what is a mod that will help to make a max ride more like a 7 series bmw or a jaguar if anything?
I called up Cattman. The RSB is on back-order.
DR0832, the RSB will only help minimize the sway when going through hard turns. As far as making it ride like a BMW 7 series, the Max has a long way to go. Primarily one would have to balance the weight from front to back.

Well, the Max is probably in a 64-36 configuration (or something close to that) as opposed to near 50-50 for a typical RWD car.
Given those numbers, you could get a full-tank of gas and put every possible tool you have in your shed in the trunk to get more weight back there
Add a good set of struts, springs and an FSTB and you should be okay. Still not close to the handling and ride characteristics of a 7-series but at least you're getting there.
